FAQ'S

Call us at 317-349-2142 for a complementary phone consultation. We will listen to the challenges you are facing and suggested therapy options specific to your needs to help get you feeling better faster.

Therapy sessions offer the best results when done regularly. The benefits are cumulative, so consistency and frequency are the key. Similar to going to a gym to get in shape, the more you go, the better the results. Once you achieve the level you would like to be at maintenance visits are all that is needed.

Type of clothing that is recommended is casual and comfortable. If you will be enjoying our Infrared Sauna, Salt Session and/or Red Light Therapy some will choose to wear bathing suits or shorts and tank top, while others prefer to go in naked. We provide towels to sit on. For Sound Therapy + Infrared, comfortable lounge wear is suggested.

There are typically no side effects other than potential thirst and a possible temporary cough after a salt session as your lungs and respiratory system works to clear out toxins. However, if you take any medications or suffer from any serious medical issues, please seek medical advice before any therapy.

- Make sure to be hydrated before going into an Infrared sauna. One can also bring water into the sauna, especially if they are sensitive to higher heat.
- Length of time. The suggested time is 20 to 30 minutes depending on the temperature.
- Clothing. How one dresses is a personal choice. Some people will wear bathing suits, while others prefer to go in naked.
- What you can do while in the sauna? Relax, read, meditate, listen
to music on our in sauna Bluetooth speakers, or visit with a friend or two.
- After the session is over it is suggested that you take your time and let    your body cool down. Once cooled down, feel free to take a shower or          bath. Just make sure you are drinking plenty of water. If you have added on a Salt Session, you will want to leave the salt on your skin as long as possible.

Yes, Infrared saunas are safe for children, assuming they have no major health conditions or concerns.

With Infrared Therapies, it is often better to wait until they are at least able to communicate with you and be able to say if they are too hot or feeling uncomfortable. For Salt Therapy, a child needs to be at least one month old.

Because infrared saunas have a low temperature, children are expected to feel more comfortable than traditional saunas. However, keep in mind that in infrared saunas, their internal temperature will still rise, so you will need to make sure to supervise your child in the sauna. It is also important to keep them well hydrated and ensure they drink water after a session.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

“I have used infrared saunas with my children since they were about 3-4 years old. I just didn’t turn it up too hot and started with shorter cooler sessions to get them used to it. It is a wonderful way for children to relax but also warm up in the winter”

-Erin

There are several types of salt such as iodized (table), epsom, Pink Himalayan, Sea salt, and Pharmaceutical. The only type used in Salt Therapy Session is Pharmaceutical grade salt that is placed in the halo generator. The salt used is pure and has natural sodium chloride with zero additives.

Your health and safety are our number one focus. Our infrared heaters are the most effective and safest infrared heaters available. Our sauna cancels out both EMF and ELF. Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) are energy waves with frequencies below 300 hertz or cycles per second. Extremely low frequency (ELF) are the electric #elds with frequencies from 3 to 30 hertz.

The EMF levels in the sauna, will be mostly below 1mg when tested directly on the heater itself. Where you sit in the sauna, the EMF levels are virtually 0mg. The ELF levels are 3 – 5 times below the threshold of concern.

Salt & Light was founded in 2023 after years of dreaming and hoping for a place like this to exist. The stress of life had worn me (Nikki) down and years of neglecting myself have manifested in painful, energy draining ways in my body. The medical community, after many tests, had no answers. I noted whenever I was in a tropical climate, however, I felt much better – like a different person. While moving to Florida sounded like a great solution, it was just not practical for several reasons. I then discovered the combination of halo (salt) therapy, far infrared sauna treatment, and sound therapy. This combination very much mimics the tropical climate. Halo therapy and the far infrared sauna greatly helps my asthma, allergies, inflammation, and muscle aches while sound therapy helps relieve my lower back pain and provides emotional calming and grounding.
